Summary
Oil painting on canvas, River Landscape with Cattle and Sheep by Jean-François Millet (Paris 1666 - Paris 1723). Possibly another hand like Pierre Salomon Domenchini de Cahranne (1673 - 1744) has been employed. Cowherd in foreground with lake behind with a boat and from which cattle drink. Distant hill lit up by the sun which also catches village and plain below. Framed by trees which continue to hill on left. Moulded gilt frame.
