An important collection of theatrical costumes; a good collection of memorabilia of the Shakespearean actress Ellen Terry (1847-1928) who lived here until her death, including Arthur Sullivan's monocle and a letter to her from Oscar Wilde. There is also the working library of Ellen Terry, rich in material of theatrical interest, and including inscribed and annotated books, rare or unique acting editions, and association copies.
