Aberdulais Tin Works and Waterfall, Neath
This collection has 25 items online
The majority of the collection at Aberdulais relates to the 19th-century water-powered tinplate works. These consist of an archaeological collection of excavated items relating to the site’s industrial history [including fragments of machinery] and to its workers [including remnants of shoes and other personal effects such as a smoking pipe]. There is also a collection of tinplate items that have been assembled to demonstrate the use of tin in a wide range of objects, from food storage to toys.
