Sunnycroft, Shropshire
This collection has 7,355 items online
Sunnycroft is a late Victorian villa, situated in Wellington, Shropshire, housing a wonderful and varied collection of objects belonging to the Lander family, through the Victorian and Edwardian era, right up to 1997 when the house was bequeathed to the National Trust. Come and explore our traditional Victorian rooms, arranged around the wonderfully atmospheric Staircase Hall. The servant's quarters and the gardens complete the visit. Highlights of the collection include the beautiful embroideries by the last owner of the house, Joan Lander, Britain's largest collection of Leek embroidery; the family medicine cabinet complete with original contents, and other items of domestic life of the early 20th century. There's even a Daimler in the garage!
