Moseley Old Hall
Moseley Old Hall was built in 1600 for Henry Pitt, a merchant. This rambling, gabled house with two groups of tall Elizabethan chimneys was case in red brick in 1870. The original timber-framing and wattle-and-daub infill can still be seen in the attics. The interior features early 17th-century panelling and a barrel-vaulted chapel ceiling that is partly decorated with blue sky and stars. There is also a secret place where Charles II hid while on the run from Parliamentarian soldiers after the Battle of Worcester in 1651.
