A medieval manor house with an ecclectic collection including old oak carved furniture, ceramics, art nouveau textiles and pre-Raphaelite drawings and paintings.
Bradley Manor was originally a thirteenth-century hall house. In the 15th century, a new house was added, consisting of a hall, parlour, chapel and first-floor solar. It was extensively remodelled in the 16th century, and in the early 19th century the exterior was subject to Gothic revival alterations. Built of roughcast local limestone, the exterior is lime-washed white and has a slate roof. The interiors contain painted Tudor decoration and carving in wood and stone as well as some spectacular late 17th-century plaster decoration, probably by John Abbott of Frithelstock.
