Caption
This picture is a copy of the original in the SS. Annunziata, Florence. Between 1509 and 1514, Andrea del Sarto was commissioned to work at the basilica by the Servites, along with two other artists, Franciabigio and Andrea Feltrini. For his flawless work there he earned the nickname “Andrea senza errori” (Andrea who makes no mistakes).
