Caption
This portrait is inscribed with the name of the sitter, although this was done at a later date. It states that he was the youngest son of Sir John Ivory, which must mean the Irishman who married Anne Talbot (1665 – 1720), and whose eldest son, John Ivory Talbot (?1691 – 1772) inherited Lacock.
