Summary
Covered jar in blue and white porcelain, probably made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, China, c. 1700. Round, with straight sides, decorated with a symmetrical arrangement of stylised lotus flowers and tendrils, the lid (not originally associated with the jar) with a ring finial and decorated with leaf scroll and stylised lotus, and edged in brown. On a later carved wooden stand.
