Summary
Duplicate entry of 922270 (KIL/P/10) Oil painting on canvas, John Acland (1674/5 - 1703), attributed to Michael Dahl (1656-1743). A painted oval half-length portrait of a young man, turned slightly to the right, head facing, gazing at spectator, in a long brown wig, wearing armour with a white stock. Dark background. The son of Sir Hugh Acland 5th Bt MP (c.1639-1714) and Anne Daniel (d.1728). In 1696 he married Elizabeth Acland, daughter Richard Acland of Barnstaple and their son was Sir Hugh Acland (1697-1728). In a carved wood frame.
