Summary
Sugar box,hard paste porcelain, oval form with low foot, bulbous sides. Meissen, ca 1725; decorated around the body and on the cover with chinoiserie figures within cartouches in the manner of Johann Gregor Höroldt, Böttger lustre within cartouches, gilt, red and perlmutter borders, the knop gilt.
Provenance
At Saltram by 1951 and accepted by HM Treasury in lieu of full payment of Estate Duty from the Executors of Edmund Robert Parker (1877-1951), 4th Earl of Morley
