Summary
Jar, porcelain, of lobed ovoid shape, on a flaring, quatrefoil stand, with a lobed, cylindrical neck and a lobed, domed lid with a bud-shaped finial, made in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province, China, Kangxi period (1662–1722), decorated in the famille verte (‘green family’) palette in shades of green, orange, red, yellow and blue enamels with vignettes of flowers growing among rocks on the main body of the vase, with beribboned Buddhist symbols on the base, a collar of lobed and pointed motifs towards the neck, flower sprays on the neck and lobed panels on the lid.
