Summary
A walnut and floral marquetry box, English, circa 1690-1710. Profusely inlaid to the front and sides with flowering stems, the lid with an overall design of a flowering plant with several birds and butterflies amidst the branches and with a bird of prey at the very top, a rabbit in its clutches, using sycamore, holly and ebony with shading.
