Summary
Oil painting on canvas, An Unknown Lady, called Sarah Child by James Maubert (1666-1746). A three-quarter-length portrait, seated, wearing an orange coloured dress with blue cloak, a lamb on her lap and two others to her left, flowers in her hair, around the lamb's neck and to the left, her crook and a hat on a rock to the right.

In 1871 Inventory as in the Breakfast Room (Miss Child, half length with lamb and flowers); recorded at Osterley Park in 1915; on loan from the Earldom of Jersey Trust.
