Summary
Chamber stick, one of a pair, soft paste porcelain painted in enamels and gilded, David Garrick as Tancred, Chelsea Porcelain Factory (1744-1769), Chelsea, London, England, circa 1758. Modelled as a standing figure in a flower encrusted arbour on a scrolled base, the top with a fitting for a metal candle nozzle. Base marked with gold anchor. Cibber and Garrick acted in the Drury Lane production of 'Tancred and Sigismunda' on 19 January 1756.
