Summary
A pair of chamber sticks, soft paste porcelain painted in enamels and gilded, Susannah Cibber as Sigismunda and David Garrick as Tancred, Chelsea Porcelain Factory (1744-1769), Chelsea, London, England, circa 1758. Modelled as standing figures in flower encrusted arbours on scrolled bases, the tops with fittings for a metal candle nozzle. Base marked with gold anchor. Cibber and Garrick acted in the Drury Lane production of 'Tancred and Sigismunda' on 19 January 1756.
