Oil painting on canvas, Sir Isaac Newton PRS (1642–1727), after Sir Godfrey Kneller (Lübeck 1646/9 - London 1723). A half-length portrait, wearing a dark coat and with flowing hair. This is a derivation of the portrait by Kneller belonging to the Earl of Portsmouth, which is dated 1689 and is probably Kneller's earliest painting of this sitter.
