Summary
A plastic character doll of the comic book character Batman made by The Mego Corporation. The doll is dressed in a pair of textile black trunks over a grey textile top and leggings. There is a black Batman logo on a yellow background in the centre of the top which is secured to the rear by a two small metal press studs. There is a yellow plastic belt around the dolls waist. The doll is also wearing a blue hood, blue cape, long blue gloves and knee length blue boots all made out of plastic. The dolls arms, legs and head are moveable. Batman is a fictional superhero who appears in comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger and first appeared in 1939. Operating in Gotham City and aided by his assistant Robin, Batman takes on an assortment of villains including The Joker, The Penguin and The Riddler. As well as appearing in comic books, Batman has appeared in a 1960’s TV series and a number of feature films, with the latest due for release in 2022.
