Summary
The 'ATARI' Video Computer System console. It is a plastic black console, with wood panneling effect on the front with the 'Atari' symbol and name stencilled on it in silver. The console has a port for inserting game 'cartridges' and six switches along the top. From left to right the switches are used to control; power on/off, tv type colour/black and white, left difficulty a/b, right difficulty a/b, game select and game reset.
Provenance
Bought by the donor in c.1980 for £100 and donated to the Museum of Childhood by Trevor Tarbox March 2012.
