Summary
A chemistry set contained in a cardboard cabinet with a hinged lid (circa 1920). The box is divided into one shelf with holes to contain twenty little bottles of chemicals, and eight compartments for equipment. There are twenty bottles with metal screw caps, now empty, which formerly contained chemicals, and eleven small flat tins with separate lids which also formerly contained chemicals. The equipment comprises twelve test tubes, eight corks, one glass flask, nine glass tubes, three round metal dishes, one small clay tobacco pipe, seven filter papers, three litmus papers, one bent wire, one wire tongs, one bottle brush, one small shovel, and one sponge. Printed on a label on the top of the box and on the inside of the lid are 'The B.G.L. Chemical Cabinet Complete with Chemicals, Apparatus and full Instructions.
