Summary
A rectangular, lidded cardboard box containing nine magic lantern slides, one of which is broken into two pieces (19th century). On display 4 slides only Flowers Children at play Hiker The slides depict flowers and insects; children's facial expressions; characters from children's stories; animal heads; children at play; an Austrian hiker, an acrobat, a man at a table and a woman; and animals in a line. The label on the box reads 'Slides for Magic Lanterns', and this is translated into German and French. The lid is joined at the corners with staples. Nursery Rhyme character Total number of items is 12.
