Oil painting on canvas, The Gulf of Pozzuoli by Jakob Phillip Hackert (Prenzlau 1737 – San Piero di Careggi 1807), signed and dated Philippe Hackert, 1799. In the foreground, cows and shepherd; immediately below the town of Pozzuoli; on far side of gulf, Baia, Aqua Morto and Capo Miseno, with Ischia beyond. A palm tree to right.
