Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Classical Landscape with Grecian Temple, manner of John Wootton (Snitterfield c.1682 – London 1765), previously catalogued as school of George Lambert (Kent c.1700 – London 1765). A shepherd, with sheep and cattle in a wooded valley. The temple is on the hill in the background on the left and in the distance, a lake. In the foregiound right, in the shade of a tree sit another couple of shepherds.
