Summary
Oval oil painting on canvas, Mary Bohun (Boun), Mrs George Lucy (1676 - 1708), school of Michael Dahl (Stockholm 1656/9 – London 1743), circa 1705/08. A half-length oval portrait of Mary Bohun, she is sat facing forward looking directly at the spectator. She is wearing a white blouse, pink dress and dark green cloak. In a giltwood frame. Mary Bohun was the daughter and heiress of John Bohun of Finham. In 1697 she married Colonel George Lucy (d.1721).
Provenance
Presented to the National Trust by Sir Montgomerie Fairfax-Lucy (1896 – 1965), two years after the death of his father, Sir Henry Ramsay-Fairfax, 3rd Bt (1870 – 1944), with Charlecote Park and its chief contents, in 1946
