Oil painting on canvas, Alice Lucy, Mrs John Hammond (b. 1662/63), manner of Sir Godfrey Kneller (Lübeck 1646/9 - London 1723). A half-length oval portrait of Alice Lucy, she is positioned slightly to the right, with her head turned to the left, looking directly at the viewer. She is wearing a blue dress over white. Framed in a rectangular gilt frame. Alice Lucy was the daughter of Sir Fulke Lucy, she married John Hammond, Rector of Gawsworth, Cheshire. Direct ancestress of present line of Lucy family.
