Summary
Oil painting on canvas, View of Windsor Castle, with Desporting Figures and Cattle in the foreground, British (English) School, circa 1730. Windsor from beyond river, elegant company in foreground dressed in French style (by another hand?), man seated sketching, one mane seated writing, woman with basket of fish and a fish in her hand, herd boys and other figures in distance with cows and sheep. Gilt frame, labelled 'Windsor c.1730, F. Tillemans 1684-1734'.
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) with the house and the rest of the contents.
