Oil painting on canvas, A Bird's Eye View of Lyme, British (English) School, circa 1690-1700. Lyme, the house and surrounding countryside seen before Leoni's 1720 alterations, on a hill behind the house is a triumphal arch and a second monument. From the costume of the figures - especially the high fontanges of the women - c.1690-1700 The foreleg of a horse appears in the left foreground suggesting this is a detail from a much larger picture.
