Summary

Oil painting on canvas, A View of Amsterdam, with the Oude Schans Canal and the Montelbaans Tower, by Jacobus Storck, signed and dated in the frieze of the building to the left: A. 1692. I. Storck. A view of the Oude Schans canal in Amsterdam, with the Montelbaans tower in the distance. A sailing boat in the centre is moored close to a quay. Other boats are seen near the building in the left foreground, and in the distance down the canal, while four figures sit in a rowing boat in the right foreground. A cityscape can be seen in the middleground, stretching down towards the Montelbaans tower in the distance.
