Summary
Flower vase (missing cover and stand), tin-glazed earthenware (Delft), with twisted snake-headed handles, painted in cobalt blue with the Triumph of Neptune: a figure in a chariot and sea creatures. Others in this group are attributed to Adriaenus Koeks, the 'Greek A' factory, Delft, c.1687-1701. Blue and white two-handled vase with cover, not original to the vase. Figure of Neptune and his entourage on body.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940)
