Summary
One of a pair of shoe buckles, c. 1760, of rectangular arched form set with two rows of rectangular foil-back lead pastes with engraved gold channels and steel chapes. It has a plain silver frame.
Provenance
Calke Abbey and contents transferred to the National Trust by the Treasury in 1985 in lieu of CTT with an endowment provided by the NHMF.
