Summary
A pair of shoe buckles, c. 1760, of rectangular arched form set with two rows of rectangular foil-back lead pastes with engraved gold channels and steel chapes. The buckles have plain silver frames. They are presented within the original fitted black shagreen box, the base bearing a label,'Royal Archaeological Institute Local Museum, Derby Meeting, 1885. Name: Miss Mosely, No.2'.
