Summary
Soft-paste porcelain plate, decorated with a blue flower, pink border and gilding, pattern number 212. From a part dessert service consisting of one pineapple dish or holder, three plates and a dish. Made by the Derby Porcelain Factory, about 1795-1805. Probably after a painting by Sydenham Edwards (1768-1819), engraved by Francis Sansom and published by William Curtis in The Botanical Magazine. The exact print not yet identified. Title painted on base, 'Catanache Caerulea Blue Catanache'
