Summary
Tapestry, wool and silk, Verdure with Bird, probably Aubusson, c. 1650-1700. A vertical landscape tapestry with a duck in the foreground and a lake and trees beyond. There are borders of leaves, flowers and scrollwork on a dark brown ground on all four sides, surrounded by a canvas edging. The tapestry was recorded in a 1957 inventory as an ‘antique verdure tapestry panel with complete border’.

Acquired by Edgar Graham Lister (1873-1956) for Westwood Manor, and bequeathed by him with the house to the National Trust
