Summary
Oil painting on canvas, A Beggar, possibly/after Georges de La Tour (Vic-sur-Seille 1593 – Lunéville 1652), or, circle of Giacomo Francesco Cipper, Il Todeschini (Feldkirch 1664 - Milan 1736), late 17th to early 18th century. A ragged old man, standing three-quarter length, facing, his large black hat held against his chest with an apple and another fruit inside. He has a badge (entitling him to beg?) sewn to his proper right sleeve. A water-flask hangs from his waist.
