Oil painting on canvas, A Poetess, Italian (Florentine) School, 17th century. A half-length portrait of a young woman [?], seated at a table, facing, head inclined to the right, gazing at the spectator, her left cheek resting on her left hand, holding a quill pen in her right hand and writing on a sheet of paper on the green covered table. She is wearing a laurel wreath. The famous poetess was Sappho but it does not necessarily look like a female.
