Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Oakedge Hall, Colwich by Nicholas Thomas Dall (fl.1748-1776/7), signed and dated: N.T. Dall 75 [1775]. View of a house in a landscape, near Weetman's Bridge, south of Stafford/Rugeley road. 'Oakedge' was bought by Thomas Anson in 1765 and was demolished in latter half of 19th century.
Provenance
Accepted by H.M. Treasury in lieu of estate duties following the death of Thomas Edward Anson (1883 – 1960) the 4th Earl of Lichfield and given on loan to The National Trust for display at Shugborough Hall in March 1966. Transferred as a gift to The National Trust by H.M. Treasury on the 30th October 1984.
