Oil painting on canvas, Called Frances Hales,Countess of Fingall by Simon Pietersz Verelst (The Hague 1644 - London 1721). A three-quarter-length portrait of a young woman, standing, wearing a brown dress over a white chemise and with a red claok draped over her left shoulder and held to her bosom with her right hand, her left hand rest on a plinth on the right.

Probably bought by the Ministry of Works from Harry Stuart Goodhart-Rendel (1887-1959) (Christie's, 7 March 1958) and transferred by HM Treasury to the National Trust in 1958
