Summary
Oil painting on copper, River Scene with Boats, manner of Jan Brueghel the elder (Brussels 1568 - Antwerp 1625), 18th century. At the left a river with various rowing boats; at the right a village on a hill, at the foot of which figures are grouped. Painted on the back of an engraver's plate which is inscribed with 'The Siege of Dunkirk, 1702'.

Given by Philip Yorke III (1905 – 1978) along with the estate, house and contents to the National Trust in 1973
