Caption
The finest of wedding presents. Made by Ernest Gimson, one of the most influential designers of the English Arts and Crafts movement, for Cecil Firth, the British Egyptologist, on his marriage to Winifred Hansard. Their daughter Diana Helen Firth, Mrs A H Woolner, donated Bradley Manor to the National Trust in 1938.
