A three-quarter-length portrait of Sir Thomas Strickland, of Sizergh Castle, Knight of Shire of Westmorland with his sword and black silk doublet, lace collar, and gauntlets with lace cuffs; coat of arms at upper left with motto 'sans mall'. Inscribed upper right: Sir Thomas Strickland K.B./ AETIS SVA 36./ ANO DNI 1600.
