Summary
A mahogany work table, English, circa 1800. Which has a rounded rectangular top above two fitted drawers and a canted basket and sits on ring-turned, tapered legs. Contemporary paper lining to the interior, the basket probably originally faced with pleated silk.
Provenance
Owned and photographed by William Henry Fox Talbot and purchased by the National Trust with the family collection of Lacock Abbey contents in situ from Mrs. Petronella Burnett-Brown in December 2009.
