Summary
Oil painting on panel, Kitchen Still Life, with Pots and Pans and a Roaring Fire by E. K. Lautter (Austrian, fl. 18th century), replacement of signature, mid-right: E.K. Lautter [the K now looks more like an R]. A table in the foreground bears a large copper tureen and a few bowls and pans. Behind the table is a stone hearth where a fierce fire is blazing which is issuing forth plumes of black smoke. The fire is host to several black cooking pots and utensils. There are some turnips on the edge of the hearth in the right middleground.
