Summary
One of a pair of trumpet-shaped Arita vases, decorated in under-glaze blue with chrysanthemums and foliage, each with various cartouches decorated in lacquer depicting dragon-headed mythical beasts among a pine forest, bamboo, rocks and water and small shaped panels with karashishi and stylised dragons. Part of an unusual four piece Arita garniture.
