Oil painting on panel, A Swiss Burgher, Swiss School, early 17th century. A half-length portrait of a gentleman with a beard and a white cartwheel ruff, and a yellow, brown jacket.
Provenance
Along with many other heirlooms of the d'Hervart family, was shipped from their home in Vevey, Switerland to Nostell in 1781, on the death of Sabine's mother, the Baronne d'Hervart; purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010
