Summary
Oil painting on (?behind) glass, Still Life with Flowers in a Vase and a Bird's Nest by Georg Frederik Ziesel (1756-1809), signed and dated, to the left: ‘G. f. Ziesel 1783’. Still life depicting flowers in a vase with a bird's nest and snail below, with roses, tulip, delphinium against a black ground. The Dutch artist, Georg Frederick Ziesel, settled in Antwerp in 1770 and worked as a specialist painter of flower pieces.
