Provenance
First recorded in the Nostell collection in 1821, when it was cleaned and restored by Mr S.Jennings; probably acquired as an original by Netscher by Charles Winn soon after he inherited; purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010.
