Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Madonna and Child, in the style of Carlo Maratta (Camerano 1625 – Rome 1713), after Guido Reni (Bologna 1575 – Bologna 1642), 17th century. The Madonna is seated, wearing a pink robe, blue mantle and pale headdress, her left elbow resting on a support. The infant Christ is asleep, cradled by her right arm.

May be the `Holy Family [by] Carlo Maratti' listed in the 1806 inventory, acquired by Sir Rowland Winn, 5th Baronet in the 18th century (see also Brockwell, Catalogue of the Pictures [...] at Nostell Priory, London 1915) ;purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010
