Summary
One of two wooden-framed box mattresses, (a) large, (b) small, with metal springs and covered in a thick cotton with blue, black and white stripes on a cream ground (plain on the base). Both mattresses consist of three separate sections, one large and two small, tied together with rope through metal-reinforced eyelets in the fabric at the top, such that they can fold together when not in use. From Heal & Son, 195, 196, 197 & 198 Tottenham Court Rd. London.
