Summary
One of two square, tapering, oak head posts with cut-out section into which to fit a headboard (not present), with a hinged wood stay on each post to further secure the headboard in place; each post also has single bolt holes to receive end/side rails with one bolt at each end, a metal spike at the top and a hook for a curtain pole (missing on [a.ii]). Part of a head end of a four-poster bedstead.
