Summary
Rectangular cardboard box with lid and metal reinforcements: MALLETT & SON / 39, 40, 41 & 42 New Bond Street, / LONDON, W1, / And The Octagon, BATH / DEALERS IN NEW AND ANTIQUE PLATE, JEWELLERY AND OBJETS D'ART (black print). 'Little tiara / Big TIARA TIARA' is handwritten in pencil on the lid of the box. The box also contains a handwritten paper note with one torn edge: 'Below is / Lady Stamford's / own', and an oval piece of felt on which is attached (b) two matching gold straight brackets/pins and a gold semi-circular bracket/pin. Also a diamond tiara with round brilliant cut diamonds on a gold frame in a ribbon and bow design on a semi-circular metal band covered in silver ribbon.
